To get from Geyikbayiri to Kemer (the land of the Daima Biz Otel) it is necessary to take a long walk (unless one can hitch) and a number of local buses. Alternatively one could pay exorbitant rates for taxis, but we are made of sterner stuff. As we were whimpering along in the gentle rain a kind driver stopped for us. Just before the heavens opened and let loose a lake of water and hail. The driver is the owner of the Climber’s Garden – I’ll post a review once I get back to investigate. In the mean time enjoy the video of the hail (note that the water eventually reached at least the 3/4 mark on the tyres of passing vehicles and the valiant but elderly Mercedes we were travelling in started to leak quite disconcertingly.
